Tumor Antigens

Bio X Cell offers antibodies targeting tumor antigens, which are proteins commonly overexpressed or uniquely expressed on tumor cells. Because of this selective expression, tumor antigens are valuable markers for immune recognition, tumor detection, and evaluation of cancer immunotherapies in mouse and humanized mouse models.

Tumor antigens fall into two main categories:

  • Tumor-Specific Antigens (TSA): Found only on cancer cells, not on normal tissues.
  • Tumor-Associated Antigens (TAA): Overexpressed on tumor cells but present at lower levels in some healthy tissues.

Antibodies against TAAs and TSAs are important tools for cancer research. They can be applied to:

  • Identify tumor cells in samples for diagnostic purposes
  • Evaluate immunotherapies by targeting antigens in vivo
  • Modulate immune activity through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC)

All Bio X Cell tumor antigen antibodies are specifically formulated for in vivo studies. They feature ultrapure (≥95% purity) formulations, low endotoxin levels (≤0.5 EU/mg), and contain no preservatives, stabilizers, or carrier proteins. Lot-specific Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) ensure transparency and reproducibility, giving researchers confidence across experimental conditions.
